English classes - kids 3-7 years
Family-beginner (FAE1) aged 3-5
Family-beginner is a class for children aged 3–5, where one parent joins the child in the water. The class is aimed both at children who are coming from baby swimming classes but are still a little unsure, and at children who are completely new to swimming lessons. The teaching starts gently and focuses on creating a sense of safety and confidence in the water for both children and parents. Parents are guided throughout on how best to support their child, so that the child gradually becomes more independent in the water and develops good body and head position.
Guppy-beginner (GBE1) aged 5-7
Guppy-beginner is for children aged 5–7 who are new to swim school or still need to build basic confidence in the water. Some children may previously have attended baby or family classes, while others are starting completely from scratch. In this class, the children swim without their parents in the water, and the teaching focuses on learning the most important basic skills through play, repetition, and simple exercises. There are two instructors in the water together with the children.
Guppy-advanced (GAE1) aged 5-7
Guppy-advanced is for children aged 5–7 who have typically attended Guppy Beginner and have already worked on basic water skills. The children are comfortable being in the water without their parents and can move around the pool with or without flotation aids. In this class, we continue developing basic skills, leg work, and early swimming technique through play, exercises, and repetition. The instructor and assistant instructor are in the water to provide support and ensure the children feel safe.
