Aquachamp1BE
For the average swimmer (age8+) who already feels comfortable with swimming 25 meters freestyle and backstroke, floating on ones front and back, has experience with swimming butterfly legs and can do a flip turn with little difficulty. The swimmer will learn how to do butterfly and breaststroke. Furthermore the swimmer will be taught to do a head-first-dive and flip-turns in all four strokes. The team will swim approximately 500 meters each lesson.
Aquachamp1AE
For the evolved swimmer (age 10+), who can swim freestyle and backstroke, has basic dexterities in breaststroke and butterfly kicks, plus can do a head-first-dive. The swimmer will learn how to butterfly and breaststroke, plus flip-turns in all four strokes. The swimmers endurance will furthermore be strained by long intervals. The team will swim approximately 1000 meters each lesson.
Aquachamp2AE
(swimming twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday in Kildeskovshallen)
For the evolved and older swimmer (age10+), who has no trouble swimming 200 meters in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke and can perform a correct official-started dive, can perform a flip turn followed by streamline in all four strokes. The swimmers endurance will furthermore be strained by longer intervals. The team will swim approximately 2000 meters each lesson.
Aquachamp2BE
(swimming twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday in Kildeskovshallen)
For the evolved and older swimmer (age 9+), who has no trouble swimming 100 meters in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke and can perform a correct official-started dive. The swimmer can also perform a flip-turn followed by streamline in all four strokes. The swimmers endurance will furthermore be strained by long intervals. The team will swim approximately 1200-1500 meters.
Teaching: The Aquachamp teams will be introduced to other aquatic sports such as artistic swimming, diving, water polo, and lifesaving. They will have the opportunity to test their swimming skills in various ways through both training and events.
Equipment: Swimmers are expected to acquire a pair of short swim fins – these are especially used during the first half of the season as a tool to support technical development but will also be used continuously throughout the season for various training purposes.
Events: The team will continuously be offered various club and social events, which are considered replacements for training sessions that may be canceled during the season due to activities in the swim school/competitive department. Many events are offered throughout the season, so we recommend that you stay informed via the calendar below.
